I. Home Energy Assessment - Starting at $499
- Home Inspection: A thorough inspection of your home and systems, looking for energy related issues and gathering data to make recommendations specific to your home.
- Combustion System Test: HVAC testing for combustion safety issues that may need to be addressed before an energy improvement work is initiated.
- Blower Door Test: Air leakage testing using a blower door to simulate air movement through the home.
- Assessment Report: A report that provides detailed findings and recommendations for how to improve the energy and comfort performance of your home and estimates your potential savings associated with these recommendations. In addition, My Green Home Plan provides your home’s ENERGY STAR Yardstick score.
- Thermographic Envelope Testing: Depending on weather and temperature conditions, an infrared camera may be used to provide a non-invasive look at the effectiveness of your insulation and any hidden pathways where your home is losing heat or cooling.
- Home Performance Reference Guide: Background information on the individual components of your home and how they interact.
II. Home Energy Modeling (HERS®) Index - $299
- This provides an evaluation of your home’s carbon footprint and is required for eligibility in the Keystone Help® financing and rebate programs in Pennsylvania.
III. Duct Blaster™ Test - $299
- HVAC performance test of duct tightness and airflow designed to isolate specific comfort or energy issues in a home.
IV. Follow-up Re-Inspection/Test-Out - $299*
*included in your home energy assessment if work is performed by recommended contractors.
- Update of home energy assessment after work is performed according to My Green Home Plan.
- Includes combustion safety testing of HVAC appliances to verify that no change in operating condition has occurred as a result of air sealing or other energy related work performed. This follow-up test is required by the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program and Building Performance Institute.
